Less than 24 hours after Alejandro Garnacho scored an all-important goal in Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory over town-rivals Manchester City, his goal against Everton has been named the Premier League Goal of the Season.

Garnacho scored a beautiful bicycle goal against Everton in a 0-3 victory at Merseyside Stadium on November 26, 2023. It led fans to draw comparisons with Wayne Rooney’s iconic goal against Manchester City.

While Manchester United might not have the best outcome in the Premier League, their FA Cup victory has resulted in them securing a spot in the UEFA Europa League which means that Chelsea has been demoted to the UEFA Conference League while Newcastle United have missed out on European football altogether.

The future of the Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag remains uncertain as well with reports surfacing right before the FA Cup finals that the INEOS ownership group might consider sacking the Dutchman regardless of the outcome. But an official decision is yet to be made. Names such as Thomas Tuchel, Zinedine Zidane, and Roberto de Zerbi among others have been tipped as potential contenders for the job should Ten Hag get sacked.
