The addition of Kylian Mbappe may give a major boost to the Real Madrid forward line but Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski isn’t worried.

Mbappe, who is set to leave Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season, is heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital. If the deal happens, the French striker will join big names like Vinicius Jr, Rodrigo and Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid.

Lewandowski recently shared his view on the potential transfer during an interaction with MARCA.

His team Barcelona have failed to win anything significant this season. They lost the Spanish league title to Real Madrid and were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Lewandowski hopes to turn the tables next season and bring the glory days back to Camp Nou.

The Poland international was asked if he would be afraid of Real Madrid following the signing of Mbappe.

Lewandowski was humble enough to call Mbappe “an incredible player” but said there is no question of fear..

“It’s not official yet but it seems that all roads lead to Real Madrid. Fear? No, of course not, obviously he’s an incredible player and if he goes to Real Madrid, it will be a very strong team. But our mentality has to be that no matter how good the players are if we are a team and work together, we can beat them,” Robert Lewandowski told MARCA.

The 35-year-old wants to start the next season on a high note and secure a commanding lead in the first half of the La Liga.

Underlining the rivalry with Real Madrid, Lewandowski said, “We have to be ready from the first game and the first minutes because Real Madrid will probably need time. They won’t start well and will drop points, and we have to take advantage of that. Not to catch them but to be ahead of them. Like two seasons ago, when there were games we couldn’t win but we didn’t lose.”

Despite Barcelona going trophy-less this season, Lewandowski has excelled in his role at the heart of the forward line in his 2023-24 season.

He featured in 48 games across all competitions scoring 25 goals and providing nine assists.
