Former Los Angeles Lakers teammates LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony recently turned up for their sons’ Nike EYBL (The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League) fixture. And as per media reports, the two had a great time.
LeBron wholeheartedly rooted for his son Bryce James in Indiana and the NBA legend’s support, eventually paid off. Playing for SFG (Strive For Greatness), Bryce guided his side in claiming a 71-65 win over Team Melo which featured Carmelo’s son Kiyan Anthony.
LeBron was totally hyped about seeing the two upcoming stars face each other in a competitive game. LeBron even shared a post showing his son and Kiyan. “Them Ones,” LeBron shared on Instagram stories.

Carmelo Anthony also shared his take on this. The official Instagram page of ‘Ballislife’ shared a picture titled “LEBRON VS CARMELO.” The caption of the post read, “LEBRON vs CARMELO WAS Nike Elite Youth Basketball. The sons of future NBA Hall of Famers faced of in an intense matchup at Nike EYBL. In the end Bryce James, Brayden Burries, and SFG came out with the win.” Reacting to the post, Carmelo hilariously commented, “Me and Bron didn’t play lol.”

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have been two longtime friends, even before they made their debuts in the NBA. They are also known for being the members of the Banana Boat Crew, along with Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul.
Meanwhile, Bryce James’ team did manage to secure a win against Team Melo but in terms of individual performances, Kiyan Anthony surpassed LeBron James’ son. Kiyan recorded 18 points against that of the SFG youngster’s 8.
Kiyan Anthony has been in superb form till now in the league. The 17-year-old finds himself among the top 10 players with the highest points per game in the Nike EYBL. Kiyan has so far averaged 20.3 points, and 4.6 rebounds per game in the 10 games he played till now in the competition.
Bryce James also lived up to the expectations with his prolific court vision and scoring quality in the game against Team Melo. Apart from eight points, Bryce made some crucial contributions by recording two rebounds.
