Arsenal Intend To Let Four Players Go This Summer, According to Report

Arsenal came pretty close to the Premier League title last season but they fell short of the eventual champions Manchester City by two points. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is now expected to leave no stone unturned in the transfer market to build a stronger squad to claim the prized Premier League trophy next season. It is being reported that the Gunners are planning to sell four players in the summer transfer window. As per a Mirror report, Arsenal have expressed their desire to explore offers for players like Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson in the upcoming transfer window.

The report claims that Arsenal are expected to attempt and raise extra funds by selling players who were on the fringes of the squad last season. Mirror claims that English goalkeeper Ramsdale, who was replaced by David Raya, could secure a loan move away from the London giants.

The report added that Arsenal can let Ramsdale go on loan if no other club show their interest in signing the goalkeeper on a permanent deal. Ramsdale still has three years left on his Arsenal contract which he signed a little over 12 months back. The article went on to add that Arsenal will only let Ramsdale leave on a temporary basis for the season if a permanent deal does not happen in the near future.

Ramsdale had arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Sheffield United in August 2021. Ramsdale’s previous contract was set to expire in 2025. Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah also did not get much game time last season. Smith Rowe and Nelson are also being considered as potential figures who can be sold by the Arsenal team management.

A report published by The Telegraph claimed earlier this month that Fulham made Smith Rowe one of their priority signings this summer. The English side are reportedly ready to bid for the midfielder early in the window. The 23-yeard-old made 13 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season. Overall, he made three starts in the Premier League in the 2023-24 campaign.
