5 Facial Yoga Techniques That May Defy Ageing Signs

Who doesn’t want a lifted firm and smooth skin? In the world of ever-evolving beauty norms, more and more people are drawn towards cosmetic procedures to enhance their features. After all, glass-like radiant skin is nothing less than a beauty dream for many. But how would you react, if we told you that opting for these cosmetic treatments is not the only way to have a wrinkle-free and glowing face? Yes, you read that right. All you have to do is be consistent with face yoga, which will lead to visible changes. Now, gone are those days when one needs to be worried about the double chin.

From strengthening the skin to reducing ageing signs, face yoga may also relax muscles and release tension in certain facial areas. So, here’s a look at some face yoga techniques that may help reduce fine lines and give your skin a smoother look:

  1. Lip Plumper exerciseThis exercise plumps up the lips. In addition, this exercise makes them appear more defined and thicker. Start by closing your mouth and pressing your lips tightly. After that, create a balloon by blowing air into the mouth. Then move the air inside the mouth to the left and right sides. Doing this exercise daily might prevent the lips from flattening and thinning.
  2. Neck TightenerIn this, you have to tilt your head back till the time you can see your roof. Then make a pucker shape with your lips, as if you are trying to kiss the roof. Hold this position for a few seconds. Repeating this exercise daily may help strengthen the neck muscles, and might also give a more defined jawline.
  3. Wrinkle BusterThis is a brilliant exercise for getting rid of your eye bags and face wrinkles. All you have to do is place both your hands in the centre of your forehead. Make sure your index fingers and thumbs are touching each other and forming a triangle. Then apply firm pressure on your forehead. Press your eyebrows up as much as possible. While doing so, you can keep your eyes shut.
  4. Eye LiftingPress your index finger against the bones below your eyebrows. Now, close your eyes without letting go of your finger. Wait for five seconds, then open your eyes. Repeat this exercise.
  5. Jawline TonerThis exercise helps firm the muscles of the jawline. Start by looking at the ceiling, and then move the lower jaw forward. Hold this position for a few seconds, then relax. Relax and then repeat a few times.
