Government Announces Free e-KYC For Ration Card Verification, Deadline Approaching

If you are a ration card holder and have not done e-KYC yet, then this news is for you. The ration card will be verified by the government. For this, ration card holders must do e-KYC with Aadhaar authentication. If you do not do e-KYC, you will not be able to get a ration from next month. Ration card holders can get e-KYC done free of cost.

In many places, deceased or outsiders also avail the ration card. The government will get e-KYC done for the ration card holders. Only after that will the eligible ones get to enjoy the rations. At the same time, the names of outsiders and deceased will be deleted.

Sanjay Kumar, the district supply officer of UP’s Hardoi, said 4,53,000 ration card holders are there in the district, including 19,19,000 members. All ration dealers have been directed to verify ration card holders.

District supply officer Sanjay Kumar said that ration card holders can get e-KYC done at fair-price shops. If they do not have eKYC, they will not be able to benefit from the card. eKYC can be done at a fair-price shop with the help of an e-pass machine.

He said that after eKYC, the phone number will also be linked to the ration card. So far, 82,000 people in the district have got eKYC done. eKYC will be done for all ration card holders within the prescribed time.

For the e-KYC of the ration card, you have to go to the fair price shop. But before that, you can verify the ration card information online. Different websites have been set up for each state. If you are a resident of Delhi, first you have to visit the Delhi government website and enter all the information there, then you can verify the ration card details. After that, all the members have to go there and get E-KYC done according to the biometric details.
