CIBIL score plays a pivotal role in financial transactions, particularly when seeking loans or credit cards. The Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited, commonly known as CIBIL, is a significant player in this aspect, offering credit scores for borrowers. These scores are vital for financial institutions as they help in assessing the creditworthiness of individuals.

Your CIBIL score is a three-digit number that reflects your creditworthiness and loan repayment capacity. It ranges from 300 to 900, with higher scores indicating better creditworthiness and increased chances of loan approval.

However, obtaining a CIBIL score can sometimes be challenging, especially if you don’t have a PAN card available.

To make it easier for you, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get your CIBIL score without a PAN card.

  • Step 1: Visit the official CIBIL website and navigate to the ‘Personal CIBIL Score’ section. Click on ‘Get Your Free CIBIL Score’ and follow the instructions to fill in your details.
  • Step 2: If you don’t have a PAN card, you can use alternative identification documents such as your passport, voter ID, driver’s license, or ration card. Enter the number of the specific ID you choose.
  • Step 3: Enter your date of birth, PIN code and select your state. Provide your mobile number and click on ‘Accept and Continue.’
  • Step 4: To verify your identity, enter the OTP sent to your mobile device. Click ‘Continue.’
  • Step 5: Choose whether you want to link the device with your account. Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ accordingly.
  • Step 6: Upon successful registration, you will see a page confirming the same.
  • Step 7: Click on ‘Go to Dashboard’ to view your CIBIL score.

Various factors influence your CIBIL score, including:

  • The depth of your credit history
  • The trend of outstanding balances over time
  • Your transaction history on credit cards
  • The ratio of actual repayment amount to total amount due
  • The number of new accounts opened and closed

Your CIBIL score will give you valuable insights into your credit health and help you make informed financial decisions.
