Indian helmet manufacturer Ignyte, the premium line of Steelbird Helmets, debuted its range of over 36 ECE 22.06 and DOT-certified helmet models at EICMA 2024 in Milan, marking its entry into the European market.
This makes Ignyte the first Indian helmet brand to achieve both ECE 22.06 and DOT certifications, highlighting its commitment to meeting rigorous global standards for safety and quality.
“This is a proud moment for Indian manufacturing,” shared Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited. “Our lineup introduced at EICMA is a clear reflection of our focus on safety, quality, and cutting-edge design. Representing India on such a prestigious platform shows that Ignyte helmets can stand shoulder to shoulder with global brands in terms of innovation and performance.”
Steelbird Director Kashish Kapur added, “EICMA is the most respected stage in the motorcycle industry, and IGNYTE’s debut here represents a major leap forward. We’re showing the world that Indian engineering and craftsmanship are not only competitive but are setting new standards that international riders can trust for safety, style, and performance.”
AI series
The AI series of Ignyte helmets, featuring models such as the AI 10, AI 14, and AI 16, made a notable impression at EICMA 2024 with its sophisticated blend of safety, comfort, and innovative design. Renowned for its Airlite Fiberglass Shell, the AI series includes some of the world’s lightest helmets crafted using fiberglass, making them ideal for riders who prioritise both safety and reduced weight, the company said in a media release.
Each model in this series—AI 10, AI 14, and AI 16—is ECE 22.06 certified and equipped with a multi-density EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner to enhance impact absorption for superior protection. The helmets also feature polycarbonate anti-scratch visors for clear, durable visibility. Additional highlights include dual spoilers for improved aerodynamics, reflective neck elements for added visibility, and luxurious, washable interiors branded with Airlite, offering riders a premium feel, the company said.
IGN series
The IGN series, which includes models such as the IGN 12, IGN 16, IGN 20, IGN 27, IGN 30, and IGN 40, was prominently showcased at EICMA 2024, exemplifying Ignyte’s dedication to combining durability, comfort, and innovative design. A standout feature of the IGN series is its advanced ventilation technology—an innovation that is the first of its kind globally—designed to maintain optimal airflow and rider comfort, even during extended rides, the company claimed.
Crafted with high-impact ABS material, each model in the series provides robust protection tailored for diverse riding conditions. The IGN series also incorporates multi-layered, high-density EPS for enhanced impact resistance and includes dual certifications (DOT and ISI) on select models, reinforcing IGNYTE’s commitment to stringent safety standards. Additional features like quick-release visor mechanisms, hair-friendly padding, neck protectors, and advanced noise reduction elevate the IGN series as a versatile choice for riders, merging functionality and comfort, the company added.
