HMSI sales cross 8mn units in Eastern India

HMSI has a strong presence in the Eastern states of India with an extensive network of over 1100 touchpoints.
New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), a leading manufacturer of two-wheelers in the country, has sold over 8 million units in Eastern India which consists of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and North-East India.

With a diverse portfolio of products spread across segments tailored to meet the unique needs of consumers in this region, HMSI has established itself as a trusted brand synonymous with performance, style, and durability, the company said in a media release.

Catering to rising personal mobility needs of customers, HMSI commands an overall market share of 24.2% in the two-wheeler market in the eastern region (including both scooters and motorcycles). The ‘SP125’ and ‘Activa’ continue to be Honda’s best-selling products in the region. Also, thanks to rapid urbanization and customers becoming tech-savvy, the sales of SP125 have more than doubled in the past 5 years. HMSI has even ramped up its digital marketing efforts to meet customer aspirations for online booking of vehicles while ensuring enhanced experience across its dealerships at the same time, the release said.

HMSI has a strong presence in the Eastern states of India with an extensive network of over 1100 touchpoints. Providing the joy of riding to customers are Honda’s diverse range of scooters which comprises of Activa, Dio, Activa 125 & Dio 125 and motorcycles like Shine 100, CD 110 Dream Deluxe, Livo, Shine 125, SP125, Unicorn, SP160, Hornet 2.0 and CB200X which are available at RedWing outlets.

Simultaneously, Honda’s premium motorcycles are exclusively available through the BigWing Topline (300cc - 1800cc) in top metros and BigWing (300cc – 500cc mid-size motorcycles) in other demand centers, the release added.
