Anant Badjatya
SUN Mobility-IOCL have appointed Anant Badjatya as CEO of their newly formed joint venture, Indofast Swap Energy Pvt. Ltd. This comes after a landmark deal between IOCL and SUN Mobility in June 2024 aiming to create one of India's largest battery-swapping networks by 2030. This initiative promises to enhance the country's focus on electric mobility by leveraging IOCL's vast network of fuel stations and SUN Mobility's battery-swapping technology.

Anant Badjatya, who previously served as the CEO of SUN Mobility, brings over 20 years of experience in the energy and automotive sectors to his new role. He will lead Indofast Swap Energy's efforts to develop a wide-reaching battery-swapping network. This network aims to combine Indian Oil’s 37,000 fuel stations with SUN Mobility’s innovative technology, providing practical solutions for two and three-wheeler owners.

Indofast Swap Energy

Indofast Swap Energy will implement a Battery-as-a-Service model, offering affordable and convenient mobility options. This model is designed to eliminate the concerns of range anxiety and long charging durations, making electric vehicles more accessible and efficient for users.

"We would like to be synonymous with India’s mobility revolution and a household name for 2 and 3 wheeler customers. Our offering of innovative technology with extensive infrastructure is unparalleled and underscores our resolve to provide a practical, accessible, and eco-friendly solution to all," said Anant Badjatya, CEO, Indofast Swap Energy Pvt. Ltd.

The creation of Indofast Swap Energy aligns with India's broader goals for sustainable development and supports the government's push towards the increased adoption of electric vehicles. IOCL and SUN Mobility are committed to enhancing battery management systems and charging infrastructure across the country, as part of this initiative. This collaboration aims to drive forward the nation's efforts in sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions.
