Alt Mobility has set a target of adding 3,000 passenger 4-wheelers to its fleet by March 2026.
Alt Mobility, a technology-enabled electric vehicle (EV) leasing and asset lifecycle management provider, is expanding into the commercial 4-wheeler passenger vehicle market. This move aims to support various segments, including employee transportation, ride-hailing services, airport cabs, hotels, and tourism, in transitioning to electric vehicles, aligning with the net-zero goals of corporations. The initiative is part of a broader effort to make employee commutes greener amid a return to office mandates, contributing to zero emissions and reduced carbon footprints.

In India, the shift towards electrified mobility has become a notable disruption. Companies are increasingly requiring employees to work from offices, prompting a significant transition towards electric vehicles. EVs present an environmentally friendly option with a lower total cost of ownership compared to combustion engine vehicles. Reports show that EVs can save up to 80% on monthly operating costs and around 35% on total ownership costs over ten years, including battery replacement costs.

Company's lease offering

The company's lease offering assists businesses in reducing capital expenditures on electric vehicles, allowing them to acquire more vehicles and expand operations with minimal capital investment. The integrated fleet-as-a-service model reduces infrastructure setup costs and ensures reliable fleet operations.

Alt Mobility's CEO and Co-founder, Dev Arora, expressed optimism about the company's foray into the EV market for the 4-wheeler passenger segment."The journey to fleet electrification is complex across the value chain, in the 4-wheeler passenger segment especially where hubs, charging infrastructure, and reliable vehicles are required to maintain high uptime and availability for taxis and employee fleets. Our integrated approach in providing managed fleet-as-a-service is designed to provide a tailored service to businesses integrating EVs, hubs, charging, servicing, battery refurbishments, and upgrades, along with uptime management and empowering ESG compliances to simplify the overall EV experience. We look forward to supporting businesses to embrace cleaner, smarter, and more affordable transportation."

Biz strategy

Alt Mobility has set a target of adding 3,000 passenger 4-wheelers to its fleet by March 2026. Their comprehensive service includes financing, insurance, energy, service, battery replacements, and salvage value over a ten-year period. The company aims to make the transition to EVs smoother for businesses, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for transportation.

In a short period, Alt Mobility has facilitated the deployment of EV 4-wheeler fleets for several fleet operators, including Snape E-Cabs, Zero Leap, and Refex Green Mobility, in cities like Kolkata, Pune, and Bangalore. The company collaborates with numerous fleet operators to scale up EV vehicle deployment, helping to lower operating costs, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute significantly to reducing carbon emissions.
