Ultraviolette has launched its UV Space Pod Experience Centre in Kathmandu, Nepal. This new facility marks Ultraviolette’s expansion beyond India into the international market, reflecting its goal of establishing 50 futuristic experience centres globally. The Kathmandu location is Ultraviolette's latest step, following successful openings in five Indian cities and plans to be present in a dozen Indian cities by the end of 2024. This expansion aligns with the company’s vision of ‘Design in India, Design for the World.’

UV Space Pod

The UV Space Pod in Nepal introduces Ultraviolette’s high-performance electric motorcycle, the F77 MACH 2, to a broader audience. This facility, covering 800 sq. ft., is a complete 3S center offering sales, service, and spares. It is equipped with state-of-the-art digital diagnostic tools and provides direct on-call technical support from Ultraviolette’s headquarters in Bengaluru. The Space Pod aims to offer an immersive experience to the discerning audience in Nepal.

F77 MACH 2

The F77 MACH 2 features a 10.3 kWh SRB7 Lithium-ion battery, offering unmatched range and performance. It boasts an 800,000 km battery warranty, which is considered the best in the industry and even outpaces Tesla's offerings. This sets a new benchmark in the electric vehicle sector.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, commented on the launch, “The launch of the UV Space Pod in Nepal aligns with our mission to transform the way we look at mobility. Nepal, with its thriving motorcycling scene and beautiful landscape, is an ideal setting for this milestone. This new Space Pod highlights Ultraviolette’s dedication to advancing sustainable mobility and delivering an exceptional experience for motorcyclists. As we broaden our presence in Nepal, our focus remains on driving innovation and supporting the region’s vision of a smarter and more connected future.”

Expansion strategy

The Kathmandu facility’s inauguration follows the successful openings in Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Hyderabad. This marks another key point in Ultraviolette's rapid expansion strategy. Nepal has become a significant destination for electric vehicle investments, attracting interest from global and domestic players.

The new experience centre is located at Narayanchaur, Naxal, Kathmandu, Nepal. This facility provides customers the opportunity to purchase and test ride the F77 MACH 2, which has been completely imagined, designed, and made in India. The F77 MACH 2 has gained recognition as the Most Awarded Electric Motorcycle of the 2024 season, noted for its cutting-edge technology, exceptional design, and unparalleled performance.

Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, noted, “The number of motorcycling enthusiasts in Nepal make it an ideal location for our latest UV Space Pod. This launch is not just about introducing another state-of-the-art facility; it's a testament to our dedication to enhancing the ecosystem for electric vehicles. Kathmandu is a city that we’ve received a terrific number of enquiries from and we are excited to embark on this new chapter to contribute to Nepal’s green mobility goals.”
