Simple Energy, India's leading electric and clean energy start-up, has announced the launch of its Simple Protect and Simple Super Protect extended warranty programs. This initiative makes Simple Energy the first company in India to offer an 8-year or 60,000-kilometre warranty on both the battery and motor of its electric scooters. The move is intended to address customer concerns about the safety, longevity, and reliability of electric two-wheelers.

The launch of Simple Protect and Simple Super Protect extended warranty programs signifies a major milestone for Simple Energy. By becoming the first in India to offer such extensive coverage, the company aims to instill confidence among potential electric vehicle buyers. With the assurance of an 8-year warranty on key components, consumers can be more confident in making the switch to electric two-wheelers, knowing that they are investing in products that prioritize safety and reliability.

To cater the prevailing concerns

A substantial number of consumers are hesitant to purchase electric two-wheelers due to doubts regarding their durability and performance. Simple Energy aims to alleviate these concerns with its advanced engineering. The company's batteries are designed with advanced thermal management, vibration metrics, and chemical stacks, which extend their service life. These battery packs come with seven layers of safety mechanisms and are coupled with in-house patented motor technology. This ensures exceptional durability and superior performance in real-world riding conditions.

In-house development

Simple Energy’s focus on research and development distinguishes its batteries and motors in the industry. This focus is reflected in the extensive duration of the extended warranty programs. The rigorous process of design, material selection, validation testing, and in-house manufacturing ensures that each sub-assembly meets top-tier quality standards. These comprehensive measures allow Simple Energy to offer the best batteries and motors in its scooters, providing prospective buyers with the assurance of safe and high-quality products.

"We are proud to be the first in the industry to offer an 8-year warranty on our patented motor, solidifying our commitment to innovation and exceptional quality," said Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy. "Our passion for the future of electric mobility has fuelled significant investment in research and development, enabling us to contribute to higher standards of automobile innovation. The extended 8-year motor and battery warranty reflects our commitment to understanding and meeting consumer needs."

Simple Energy network

Simple Energy has launched stores in several locations, including Rajajinagar, Marathahalli, and JP Nagar in Bangalore, as well as in Goa, Vijayawada, Pune, and Kochi. The company is renowned for building India's longest-range electric scooter, the Simple One, and manufactures 95% of its scooter components in-house. It is also the only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in India with an in-house motor manufacturing line, located in a 200,000 sq. ft plant in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. Simple Energy offers two models in its portfolio: Simple One with a certified range of 212 km and another variant with a 151 km certified range.

What does the company plan to do?

By offering these extended warranty programs, Simple Energy underscores its commitment to customer satisfaction and the broader adoption of electric mobility. The combination of advanced technology, rigorous quality control, and extensive research and development showcases the company's dedication to producing reliable and durable electric scooters. This initiative not only sets a new standard in the industry but also aims to encourage more consumers to shift towards sustainable transportation options.
