Hyundai Motor India reports record sales of 64,201 units in September

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), India's leading passenger vehicle company disclosed its September sales. The company observed an overall growth this month.

Hyundai Motor recorded total sales of 64,201 units in September 2024, with domestic sales reaching 51,101 units and exports accounting for 13,100 units. The company also reported total year-to-date (YTD) sales of 5,77,711 units from January to September 2024.

"In September, we introduced the bold new Hyundai Alcazar , which redefined the benchmark of aspirational 6/7-seater SUV. This introduction combined with strong performance from Exter, Venue and Creta propelled HMIL to its highest ever monthly SUV contribution of 70% to total sales. We also witnessed increased consumer demand for CNG powered vehicles, backed by the introduction of Dual Cylinder CNG in Exter and Grand i10 NIOS resulting in highest-ever CNG contribution of 13.8% to September sales," said Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL.

Hyundai growth in diverse fuel range

Hyundai's SUV lineup, including the Alcazar , Exter, Venue , and Creta, significantly boosted sales. Additionally, there was notable growth in consumer interest for CNG-powered vehicles, particularly due to the launch of Dual Cylinder CNG options in the Exter and Grand i10 NIOS.

As the festive season approaches, Hyundai has launched new models and variants to cater to customer expectations. Garg added, “With the festive season kicking-in, we have introduced many new models and variants to meet customers’ aspirations, and our dealer touchpoints are fully geared up to delight customers with deliveries of their favourite Hyundai cars in this auspicious period.”

This month marked Hyundai's highest ever contributions for both SUVs and CNG vehicles. The company's strategic introductions and customer-focused approach played a pivotal role in driving these records.

Hyundai global 100 million production

Hyundai Motor Company marked a major milestone today by celebrating the production of 100 million vehicles globally, achieved in 57 years since its foundation. The event took place at the Ulsan Plant in Korea, where the 100 millionth and first vehicle, an IONIQ 5, was delivered to a customer during a special ceremony. This celebration underscored Hyundai Motor's commitment to progress and innovation in the automotive industry.

Hyundai Motor held a significant ceremony at its Ulsan Plant to commemorate this historical achievement. During the event, an IONIQ 5 was handed over to a customer as a gesture of thanks for the support and trust from customers worldwide. The ceremony included a symbolic display of ‘100 million and 1’ to represent the company’s determination to continue advancing beyond past accomplishments.
