The BaaS program is supported by a range of finance partners, including Bajaj Finserv, Hero Fincorp, Vidyut, and Ecofy Autovert.
JSW MG Motor India has extended its innovative 'Battery-as-a-Service' (BaaS) program to its Comet EV and ZS EV models. This initiative allows customers to pay per kilometer for battery usage. Introduced with the MG Windsor, the BaaS program now includes the MG Comet EV starting at INR 4.99 lakh with a battery rental fee of INR 2.5/km, and the MG ZS EV starting at INR 13.99 lakh and a battery rental fee of INR 4.5/km.

What is BaaS program?

The BaaS program aims to make EV ownership more accessible by having customers pay a nominal fee per kilometer for battery usage. This initiative has encouraged many to consider EVs, offering a chance to own a technologically advanced vehicle at a more affordable price.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW MG Motor India, explained the company's vision: "With BaaS, we have created a platform for easy ownership, making our EVs more accessible than ever. Given the strong response to Windsor under the BaaS program, we are now extending its benefits to our popular EV models, the Comet and ZS. I am confident that this unique ownership model will further boost EV adoption in the country."

What else the company offers?

In addition to the pay-per-use battery model, customers also have the reassurance of a 60% buyback value after three years of ownership. This initiative provides peace of mind and confidence in the long-term value of their purchase.

With these additions to their BaaS program, JSW MG Motor India is committed to redefining the passenger EV segment and making electric mobility more accessible to a broader audience.

Partnerships

The BaaS program is supported by a range of finance partners, including Bajaj Finserv, Hero Fincorp, Vidyut, and Ecofy Autovert. This collaboration is designed to make the transition to electric vehicles smoother for customers across the country.

The MG Comet EV is known for its compact design and spacious interior, offering convenience in urban settings with a certified range of 230 km on a single charge. It also features over 55 i-SMART functionalities.
