D-MAX 1.7 Cab-Chassis variant
Isuzu Motors India has introduced a new Cab-Chassis variant to its D-MAX commercial vehicle range to better meet customer needs in various businesses, such as perishables, FMCG, food and catering, and last-mile delivery. The vehicle comes with an introductory price of INR 9,99,999 ex-showroom in Chennai. Bookings for this new variant are open from today, with deliveries set to commence soon.

This new variant, the Isuzu D-MAX 1.7 Single Cab Cab-Chassis Std, provides customers the flexibility to construct their own load-bodies suited to their specific business requirements.

Features

This new variant is powered by a 2.5-liter ISUZU 4JA1 engine. The vehicle boasts an exterior and interior that resembles a passenger vehicle, providing a sense of pride for customers, the company said. The seats in the D-MAX range feature fabric upholstery and height-adjustable seat belts. Additionally, the vehicle comes with a Multi-Information Display (MID) cluster with Gear Shift Indicator (GSI).

The vehicle is built on a heavy-duty iGRIP chassis, offering renowned durability and superior dynamics. The D-MAX cab is constructed from high-tensile steel, enhancing safety. Its front suspension with independent coil springs and rear suspension with rigid leaf springs provide greater stability.

Safety

Safety features include front and rear crumple zones, a cross car front beam, door side intrusion, a collapsible steering column, and underbody steel protection for the drivetrain. The Brake Override System (BOS) further improves safety by cutting power to the engine in case of panic braking when the brake and accelerator pedals are pressed simultaneously.

Toru Kishimoto, Deputy Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India, emphasised the importance of this addition to their product line.

“With the introduction of the new D-MAX 1.7 Cab-Chassis Std variant in the Isuzu D-MAX portfolio, we are now offering our customers a comprehensive range of product options to choose from, to meet specific needs of different businesses. "The D-MAX 1.7 Cab-Chassis Std variant is a perfect choice which will provide customers the flexibility to choose their load-body configuration and maximise value. This is an important product extension to our existing product offerings in the commercial vehicle pick-up segment, enabling customers to ‘Go the extra mile on their path to progress,” Kishimoto added.
