In August 2024, Nissan reported monthly wholesale dispatches of 10,624 units, comprising 8,361 export shipments and 2,263 domestic dispatches. This marks Nissan's highest monthly wholesale achievement in FY25 amid various industry challenges. The export volume represented a Y-o-Y growth of 336% and a M-o-M growth of 91%, while the domestic wholesale saw a modest Y-o-Y growth of 0.2% and a significant M-o-M growth of 12.5%.

Magnite sales

The Nissan Magnite, known for its bold and stylish design, is currently exported to over 17 global markets. Recent launches have occurred in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. In recent years, Nissan Motor India has also focused its export efforts on Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Since its launch, the Nissan Magnite has captivated consumers both locally and internationally, reflecting Nissan Motor India's 'Make-In-India, Make for the World' philosophy. Combining Japanese design excellence with efficient production in India, the compact SUV has now crossed 1.5 lakh cumulative sales across domestic and export markets by August 2024.

These achievements underline the success of Nissan’s strategy and the popularity of the Magnite model. Reflecting on the company's growth trajectory, Vatsa's comments highlight the collaborative efforts of the Nissan Motor India team and its dealer partners in driving these remarkable results. The company's focus on both domestic and international markets has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, commented on the achievement, saying, "The month of August has been remarkable despite the decline in overall Total Industry Volume (TIV). However, the combined efforts of the Nissan Motor India team along with our dealer partners have delivered great results for the company and customers. The renewed strategy of Nissan’s focus on domestic and exports business is delivering great results for India. The Nissan Magnite is proof that a robust platform, timeless product, and enhanced customer centricity can continue to deliver consistent outcomes, which is evident in the 1.5 lakh milestone that Nissan has crossed this month."

Nissan's growth strategy

As part of its growth strategy, Nissan Motor India is expanding its network footprint across the country. Recent additions include new touchpoints in locations such as Bengaluru, Srinagar, Salem, Delhi, and Durgapur. With these additions, Nissan now operates 273 touchpoints nationwide, offering quality sales and service experiences to customers. The company plans to further expand its network to over 300 touchpoints within the current fiscal year, aiming to be closer to customers across India.

Nissan Motor India's continued commitment to expanding its network while maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction has cemented its position as a key player in the automotive industry. By integrating global design with local production efficiencies, Nissan aims to maintain and build upon the success of the Magnite in the coming years.
