The event marked the beginning of Maserati’s operations in North India, with Claverol introducing new partners, who will foster the brand’s growth in this key region.
New Delhi:
At the India launch of the new Maserati GranTurismo, Philippe Claverol, Head of Overseas at Maserati, emphasised the brand's compatibility with India's entrepreneurship spirit. He highlighted that a remarkable 80% of Maserati owners globally are entrepreneurs, drawing a parallel between Maserati's customer base and India's entrepreneurial landscape.

“India is a land of entrepreneurs. The growth of India is driven by entrepreneurs, and you have to know that the vast majority, if not all, of Maserati customers are entrepreneurs,” Claverol stated. This connection, he suggested, positions Maserati perfectly within the Indian luxury market, which has a long-standing appreciation for opulence and exclusivity. “Maserati is a purely luxury brand, and India’s history and love for luxury—from jewelry to textiles—make it a fitting market for us.”

Roadmap
Claverol also pointed to the brand's expansion plans, noting the upcoming opening of a dealership in Bangalore, a city noted for its entrepreneurial growth. He expressed confidence in Maserati’s strategy to partner with local entrepreneurs who can resonate with the brand's values and customer base.

Claverol shared Maserati’s forward-looking plans for the Indian market. Currently, Maserati has a strong presence in Mumbai, but the brand is keen on expanding further, with a new dealership slated to open in Bangalore later this year. “Bangalore is a city experiencing significant growth, and we are thrilled to have found the right entrepreneurial partner to represent us there,” he announced.

The event marked the beginning of Maserati’s operations in North India, with Claverol introducing new partners, who will foster the brand’s growth in this key region. “We love to have entrepreneurs representing us because our customers are entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs understand their market and business, which is why it is crucial for us to partner with great entrepreneurs who will drive Maserati’s success in India,” Claverol added.
