Prawaas 4.0: Tata Motors demonstrates safe, smart and sustainable mass mobility solutions

Tata Motors, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, showcased its latest mass mobility solutions at Prawaas 4.0, a three-day biennial event focusing on safe, smart, and sustainable mobility. The company unveiled the all-new Tata Ultra EV 7M, an intra-city electric bus designed for urban mass transport. Additionally, Tata Motors presented various passenger transport solutions, including the Tata Magna EV, Tata Magic Bi-fuel, Tata Ultra Prime CNG, Tata Winger 9S, Tata CityRide Prime, and Tata LPO 1822.

Tata Ultra EV 7M

The unveiling of the Tata Ultra EV 7M and other vehicles represents Tata Motors' ongoing efforts to provide efficient, safe, and eco-friendly transportation options. Through these innovations, Tata Motors continues to lead the market in electric buses and other alternative fuel vehicles, catering to the evolving needs of urban mobility.

The Tata Ultra EV 7M is designed for urban environments, offering seats for 21 passengers and features to navigate narrow lanes and high-traffic areas with ease. It is powered by a 213kW electric motor and an IP67-rated 200kWh Li-ion battery. The bus can cover up to 160 km on a single charge and supports fast charging, achieving full charge in just 2.5 hours. It includes advanced safety features such as an electronic braking system and electronic stability control. The bus is also equipped with an Automatic Passenger Counter and its Intelligent Transport System (ITS) ensures high safety standards. Its regenerative braking technology further enhances efficiency and range.

The company has deployed over 2,900 electric buses across India, amassing a combined distance of over 16 crore kilometres. Additionally, Tata Motors is at the forefront of advancing hydrogen fuel cell transport solutions in the country. With a wide range of alternative fuel powered vehicles, Tata Motors aims to lower operational costs and enhance profitability for operators.

Furthermore, Tata Motors enhances its mobility solutions with Fleet Edge, a connected vehicle platform that utilises smart technologies to improve fleet management, vehicle uptime, and safety.
