VECV signs MoU for deployment of 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks with Baidyanath LNG

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Limited, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has signed an MoU with Baidyanath LNG Private Limited to deploy 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks. The deployment is aimed at enhancing the LNG station network in Central India. The inauguration of the B-LNG station in Nagpur saw the involvement of the Honorable Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, who flagged off the trucks.

Under the terms of the MoU, which will be further detailed in definitive agreements, the creation of the LNG fleet aims to support the development of the LNG station network across strategic locations in Central India. This initiative is expected to expedite the overall supply-side ecosystem development, enabling the long-haul transport segment to adopt cleaner fuels.

Features of Eicher Pro 6055 LNG truck

The Eicher Pro 6055 LNG truck features Volvo Group's globally proven engine technology. It is equipped with a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine that generates 260HP of power at 2200RPM and produces a torque of 1000Nm between 1100-1800RPM. The truck also offers a top-tier transmission system with high torque handling capability. With dual tanks, the vehicle has a range of up to 1100km, ensuring long-haul efficiency and best-in-class fuel tank safety, minimizing fuel theft risks. The truck's cabin is designed for superior comfort, featuring HVAC and an air-suspended driver seat, which enhances driver productivity.

Tech embedment in the vehicle

To ensure optimum customer experience, all Eicher vehicles are connected to an industry-first Uptime Centre. This center uses AI/ML capabilities for remote and predictive diagnostics. Through the 'My Eicher' fleet management app, these vehicles provide valuable real-time performance insights. Eicher’s extensive network includes 850+ touchpoints across the country, comprising 425+ authorized service centers and 8000+ retail centers. Also included is 'Eicher Site Support' available at 240+ locations, providing seamless assistance to all Eicher Truck and Bus customers.
