Tokai Rika Minda India invests INR 200 cr for its new manufacturing plant in Rajasthan

The companies are making an investment of INR 200 crore for this facility with the commencement of production from middle 2025.

Tokai Rika Minda India(TRMN), a joint venture between Tokai Rika Co. Ltd., Japan, and Uno Minda has announced the setting up of its new manufacturing facility with INR 200 crore investment. The plant will be situated in Neemrana, RIICO Industrial area, Rajasthan with an annual capacity of 384,022 units per month, the company’s exchange filings stated.

The company informed its investors that this new plant would be utilised to produce smart keys, shift levers (shift by wire), seat belts, and other products. Furthermore, more products might be added as per the company’s future business expansion plans. The facility will be equipped with the latest technologies and has production spread over 20 acres.

The 16-year-old company is involved in the manufacturing of safety and security systems and electronic components. The companies are making an investment of INR 200 crore for this facility with the commencement of production from middle 2025.

Change in Management

Uno Minda earlier informed its investors about the appointment of Ramesh KS as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for ECS-2 Domain of the Company w.e.f. August 17, 2024. He will be reporting to Nirmal Kumar Minda, Chairman and Managing Director of Uno Minda.

Ramesh KS is a veteran with 32 years of stint in operations, business development, engineering, sourcing & supply chain, and B2B Business Development. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in both domestic and international customers.
