SUN Mobility launched retrofit kits for Tata ACE vehicles in collaboration with Bluwheelz. This initiative aims to convert existing Tata ACE internal combustion engine (ICE) or fixed battery vehicles to swappable electric vehicles (EVs) using SUN Mobility's battery swapping technology. This move is designed to revolutionize the logistics sector by providing fleet operators with cost-effective and sustainable alternatives.

The electric Tata ACE ensures extended vehicle life, reduced operational costs, and increased uptime. This is particularly beneficial in areas like Delhi, where these vehicles can operate during no-entry hours, enhancing productivity.

Attendees of the event
The launch event was attended by Tata ACE fleet operators and financers. The event emphasised the benefits of retrofitting these vehicles. The electric Tata ACE, powered by SUN Mobility’s swappable battery technology, presents notable cost savings. Fleet operators could save approximately 30% per month by switching from CNG vehicles and around 40% per month by switching from diesel vehicles to retrofit battery swapping EVs.

How will it help?
By retrofitting, businesses align with government norms mandating the conversion to electric vehicles. This approach ensures compliance with regulations without requiring substantial investments in new vehicles. It allows businesses to maintain sustainability and profitability seamlessly.

The launch event also facilitated discussions with fleet operators about their perspectives on transitioning to electric vehicles.

"We are thrilled to introduce our retrofit kits for Tata ACE vehicles in partnership with Bluwheelz. We will launch this initiative in NCR, followed by other states," said Anant Badjatya, CEO, SUN Mobility. "This initiative represents a significant step forward in our mission to make electric mobility accessible, affordable, and sustainable for businesses of all sizes."

"As a logistics company committed to sustainability, we are excited to collaborate with SUN Mobility on this transformative initiative. The retrofit kits offer our fleet operators a practical and cost-effective solution to transition to electric vehicles, significantly reducing our carbon footprint while enhancing operational efficiency," said Sanjiv Gupta, Founder & Chairman, Bluwheelz.

Overall, the retrofit kits offer fleet operators a viable solution to enhance productivity, extend vehicle lifespan, and achieve significant cost savings while complying with government regulations. SUN Mobility's partnership with Bluwheelz aims to ensure the sustainability and profitability of businesses by transitioning to electric vehicles.
