Ola Electric Mobility shares surge 10% on Monday

Shares of Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, led by Bhavish Aggarwal, surged 10% to hit the upper circuit limit on Monday. The electric two-wheeler company's shares, which debuted on the market on August 9, have seen a significant rise from their issue price of INR 76, currently up by 92.1%. On Monday, the shares climbed to INR 146.03 on the BSE and to INR 146.38 on the NSE, representing a 10% and 9.99% increase, respectively.

Ola Electric's market valuation now stands at INR 64,411.4 crore. This recent surge follows a 20% increase in shares on Friday, driven by the company's announcement of entering the electric motorcycle segment with the launch of three models and plans for two more.

The company also posted a rise in revenue from operations for the April-June quarter of 2024-25.

Meanwhile, market activity on the stock exchanges reflected a mixed trend. The 30-share BSE Sensex experienced a minor slip of 12.16 points or 0.02%, settling at 80,424.7. During the day's trading, the index peaked at 80,724.4 and dipped to a low of 80,332.65.

On the other hand, the NSE Nifty saw a modest gain, edging up 31.5 points or 0.13% to close at 24,572.65 amid volatile trading conditions.
