JSW MG Motor's future efforts will continue to focus on driving EV technology, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting sustainable practices in the Indian automotive landscape.
JSW MG Motor India has unveiled a range of innovative electric vehicle (EV) solutions at the DriEV.Bharat event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

This ground-breaking event, organized in collaboration with key industry players, showcased JSW MG Motor's dedication to advancing EV technology, expanding charging infrastructure, and promoting EV adoption in India. Highlights from the event include the introduction of eHUB by MG, Project REVIVE, EVPEDIA, and the MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP), all aimed at simplifying, enhancing, and sustaining the EV ecosystem.

The eHUB by MG is the industry's first large-scale charging platform designed to streamline the EV charging process for customers. It allows users to locate, reserve, and pay for charging stations through a single platform, integrating multiple partnerships with providers such as Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, and Jio-BP. The platform is equipped with user-friendly features available in 11 languages and includes trip-planning functionalities.

Additionally, Project REVIVE was introduced as a collaborative effort with TERI, Lohum, and BatX. This initiative aims to repurpose used EV batteries to serve as renewable energy storage systems for community applications. By extending the life of EV batteries, Project REVIVE supports a circular economy and contributes to India's clean energy goals. A pilot project in Mukteshwar has already demonstrated its practical application in providing reliable power solutions for schools and community centers.

Reinforcing its commitment to consumer education, JSW MG Motor launched EVPEDIA, a dedicated platform providing comprehensive information on EV technology. EVPEDIA offers practical tools like cost of ownership calculators, policy repositories, and research publications. The platform also includes interactive displays and educational videos to aid users in understanding the benefits of EVs. An AI-powered chatbot, "eVir", is embedded to assist users with quick and easy access to information.

The MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP) was also announced as a standard feature in all upcoming MG cars. This technology platform offers several industry-firsts, such as the MG App Store for in-car gaming, entertainment, and learning, superior voice capability in six Indian languages, and a unique Home-to-Car functionality.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer at JSW MG Motor India, said, "DriEV.Bharat reflects our unwavering commitment to advancing EV technology and enhancing the user experience to accelerate EV adoption. With initiatives such as our unified charging platform, battery second-life project, EV education, and the MG-Jio ICP, we are empowering the industry as well as our customers with smarter, more sustainable choices."

JSW MG Motor's legacy in India's electric vehicle sector includes the launch of the country's first internet electric SUV, the MG ZS EV, and the MG Comet EV, an innovative street-smart urban mobility solution. The company is dedicated to fostering a comprehensive EV ecosystem and offers six-way charging solutions, aiming to install 1,000 community chargers across India.

Through strategic partnerships and initiatives like the MG Developer Program (MGDP) and MG Nurture, JSW MG Motor has engaged with over 1,500 startups and collaborated with more than 50 colleges to drive EV education and skill development.

The newly-introduced platforms

eHUB by MG serves as a one-stop solution for EV charging. This platform simplifies the process of locating, reserving, and paying for charging stations. Users can access the almost entire network of charging stations in the country through partnerships with leading providers like Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, and Jio-BP. The app also includes trip-planning features and is available in 11 languages for a hassle-free EV charging experience.

Project REVIVE, in partnership with TERI, Lohum, and BatX, focuses on repurposing used EV batteries. By extracting healthy battery components, the project builds energy solutions for schools and community centers. This initiative not only extends the lifespan of EV batteries but also contributes to reducing waste and providing reliable power to underserved communities. The pilot project at a Mukteshwar school has demonstrated its effectiveness.

EVPEDIA is an industry-first educational platform designed for EV users. It provides practical tools such as cost of ownership calculators, repositories of government policies, and research publications. The platform includes interactive displays, educational videos, and live demonstrations to explain the benefits of EVs. An AI-powered chatbot, "eVir", assists users with quick and easy answers to their questions, making the EV adoption journey smoother.

The MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP) is a collaborative effort between MG Motor India and Jio, aimed at redefining the in-car experience. The platform introduces several industry-first features, including the MG Store for gaming, entertainment, and learning, voice commands in six Indian languages, and the unique Home-to-Car functionality. This platform offers unparalleled convenience and accessibility to users.

The DriEV.Bharat event also featured a panel discussion among industry experts from EY and IIT, addressing the long-term benefits of EVs.

JSW MG Motor's future efforts will continue to focus on driving EV technology, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting sustainable practices in the Indian automotive landscape.
