Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter bookings cross 20,000 in July

Bajaj Auto Ltd.’s Chetak Electric Scooter brand received 20,000 bookings in July 2024. The newly-launched Chetak 2901’s success is attributed to factors like its solid metal body, a value price point starting at INR 95,998/- (ex-showroom Bengaluru, and expansion to smaller towns and villages. The reach of Chetak Experience Centers and Bajaj dealerships in smaller towns played a crucial role in improving access to the legacy brand, which has been reinvented in a modern electric avatar.

The Chetak Electric Scooter is now available across ~2000 sales outlets in the country. This expanded reach has allowed Bajaj Auto Ltd to tap into new markets and cater to a broader customer base.

As the most affordable model in the Chetak lineup, the Chetak 2901 boasts of a range of 123 km. Features such as the Coloured Digital Console, Alloy Wheels, and Bluetooth Connectivity further enhance rider comfort and convenience. Customers can choose to upgrade with the Lifetime Tec Pac which enables features such as Hill Hold, Reverse, Sport and Economy modes, Call and Music Control, ‘Follow Me Home’ lights and Bluetooth App connectivity.

The Chetak portfolio, now consisting of three models, is driving the consolidation of the industry as well as is poised to lead its development in rural and small-town India.
