HMSI sells 5 mn units in Tamil Nadu

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced on Friday that it has reached a significant milestone of selling 5 million units in Tamil Nadu since it began operations in June 2001. The achievement demonstrates the brand's solid presence and the demand for its diverse range of motorcycles and scooters in the region.

HMSI attributed this milestone to the company's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers in Tamil Nadu. The company offers a wide range of motorcycles and scooters known for their cutting-edge technology and superior performance. To support its operations, HMSI has established 547 network touchpoints in Tamil Nadu, including 19 BigWing outlets.

Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, "achieving 5 million two-wheeler sales in Tamil Nadu is a remarkable accomplishment for HMSI. The company's product lineup features various models to cater to different segments. In the scooter category, HMSI offers four models: Activa and Dio in the 110cc segment, and Activa 125 and Dio 125 in the 125cc segment. The motorcycle lineup includes nine models across different segments: Shine 100, CD 110 Dream Deluxe, and Livo in the 100-110cc category; Shine 125 and SP125 in the 125cc category; Unicorn and SP160 in the 160cc category; and Hornet 2.0 and CB200X in the 180-200cc category.

HMSI's premium motorcycle retail format is managed through its BigWing Topline outlets that cater to the entire premium range from 300cc to 1800cc, primarily in top metropolitan areas. Meanwhile, the BigWing outlets focus on the mid-size motorcycle segment, ranging from 300cc to 500cc. The premium lineup features models like the all-new CB350, H’ness CB350, CB350RS, CB300F, CB300R, NX500, XL750 Transalp, Africa Twin, and Gold Wing Tour. The Hornet 2.0 and CB200X are also available at BigWing showrooms.
