JSW MG Motor collaborates with Shell to enhance EV charging infrastructure

JSW MG Motor India has partnered with Shell India to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country. Announced on Wednesday, the collaboration allows JSW MG Motor India customers to utilize Shell's extensive fuel station network for EV charging, enhancing the convenience of long-distance travel for EV users.

The partnership agreement, under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), involves the installation of CCS 50kW and 60kW DC fast chargers by Shell India at various locations. This initiative aims to expand the EV charging network and support the broader adoption of electric vehicles.

"Our partnership with Shell India highlights our shared commitment to sustainable mobility and will help accelerate EV adoption across the country," stated Gaurav Gupta, JSW MG Motor India Chief Growth Officer.

The improved infrastructure will make fast-charging more accessible and enable EV customers to better plan long-distance journeys, Gupta added.

Shell India Markets Director Sanjay Varkey expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, "The partnership aims to promote the widespread adoption of electric vehicles in the country by leveraging digital integration and customer-centric initiatives."

This joint effort underscores a mutual dedication to enhancing sustainable transportation solutions in India.
