Suzuki Motorcycle India sales record 13% growth Y-o-Y in June with 71,086 units

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, reported its sales numbers for June 2024. The company sold 88,287 units in June 2024, which is a 9% increase from the 80,737 units sold in June 2023. Domestic sales rose by 13% to 71,086 units compared to 63,059 units in the same period last year, while exports declined slightly from 17,678 units in June 2023 to 17,201 in June 2024.

Commenting on the company's performance, Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. stated, "We are pleased with our sales growth in June 2024 driven by strong demand especially in the Indian market. We have got off to a good start in this financial year, with a healthy 15% year-on-year growth in our sales in the first quarter. We are optimistic about maintaining this growth momentum in the months ahead. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued customers and dedicated dealer network for their continued trust and unwavering support which has played a pivotal role in achieving this result."

The overall growth for Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. has been positive, particularly in the domestic market. The company started the financial year with a 15% year-on-year increase in sales during the first quarter. Despite a slight drop in export numbers, the increase in domestic demand has helped propel the company's overall growth. The positive sales figures underscore the strong market demand and effective sales strategies in place.

The company credits its success to the continuous support from customers and its dedicated dealer network, which have been crucial in achieving these sales milestones.
