Birender Siwach, Director & Head of Purchasing and Supplier Quality at Continental Automotive India
Birender Siwach, Director & Head of Purchasing and Supplier Quality at Continental Automotive India told ETAuto about his resignation from the company. Siwach, who has worked in Continental Automotive India for the past 8 years has decided to transition from his current position which concluded in May.

“I've been working for nearly three decades, and I wanted to take a break. However, my departure from Continental was a thoughtfully planned sabbatical, in consultation with senior management, to address personal interests and priorities,” Siwach said.

His decision to take a sabbatical has been in the works for more than a year, and he took it to reevaluate his personal and professional journey. When asked about his next professional destination he said he wishes to explore and is looking forward to fresh challenges and avenues for growth.

However, he hinted that he might join a company with semiconductor sector in focus, given his experience during the Automotive semiconductor Crisis from 2020 to 2023.

“Continental's role in shaping the future of mobility, particularly amidst industry shifts towards software-driven vehicles and electrification, is commendable. I believe the company is well-positioned to continue its leadership as a Tier 1 supplier to OEMs,” Siwach said in expressing his gratitude for the company.

He has almost three decades of experience where his professional portfolio includes JBM Campllong S.L, Pricol Ltd., and Magneti Marelli. Prior to joining Continental Automotive India, he worked in Magneti Marelli as Head of Purchasing and Supplier Quality for almost 7 years.
