BMW R 1300 GS Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 20.95 Lakh

BMW Motorrad has launched its latest flagship adventure motorcycle, the R 1300 GS, in India at a starting price of Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Bookings are now open, and deliveries are set to begin later this month.

The R 1300 GS offers multiple variants like Light White, GS Trophy, Option GS Tramantuna, and Triple Black, each with unique colors and equipment options. While designs vary, the core features including the engine remain consistent across all variants.

Powering the R 1300 GS is a newly developed 1,300cc, liquid-cooled boxer engine. This engine delivers 145 bhp at 7,750rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox utilizing a shaft drive system.

Equipped with advanced electronics, the R 1300 GS includes a TFT screen for easy navigation through various rider aids and smartphone connectivity features.

The bike comes equipped with a plethora of safety features like ABS, traction control, and four riding modes (Eco, Rain, Road, Enduro). Additional functionalities such as hill start control, brake control, cruise control, and tyre pressure monitoring enhance the riding experience. Keyless ride, heated grips, and a charging slot are also part of the package.

Priced just Rs. 40,000 higher than its predecessor, the R 1300 GS competes with models like the Honda Africa Twin and Ducati Multistrada V4.
