Yamaha is back in its two-wheeler segment with a new addition to its most affordable scooter, Fascino.

The bike maker has launched the all-new Fascino S. One of the highlights of this new scooter is that it comes with an ‘Answer Back’ feature that allows users to locate their Fascino S through Yamaha’s mobile app.

Whenever the user wants to locate their vehicle, they can activate this feature, and the scooter’s left and right indicators, along with a horn sound, will turn on for approximately two seconds. Fascino S will be competing against TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access, Hero Destini, and Honda Activa in the market.

Apart from the ‘Answer Back’ feature, most specifications of the new Fascino S remain the same. The two-wheeler scooter is still powered by a 125-cc single-cylinder motor that produces 8.2 bhp and 10.3 Nm. The scooty weighs around 99 kg and has 21 litres of storage under its seat.

The two-wheeler gets an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts (through the Y-Connect app). The screen shows the speedometre, odometre, fuel gauge, trip metre, and tachometre readouts.

Yamaha Fascino comes in a total of three variants: drum, disc, and S. While the entry-level drum variant starts at Rs 79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), the disc variant goes up to Rs 91,130 (ex-showroom Delhi). Talking about its latest S variant, the price of the scooter starts at Rs 93,730 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the matte red or matte black shade.

However, the matte dark blue is priced higher and will cost around Rs 94,530 (ex-showroom Delhi) to interested buyers. Yamaha has also equipped the Fascino S with an advanced automatic stop and start system (SSS), including normal and traffic riding modes.

As reported by Car&Bike, Eishin Chihana, who is the Chairman of the Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, said, “At Yamaha, we consistently prioritise customer needs and create solutions that add value to their overall ride experience. The ‘Answer Back’ feature in Fascino S will surely resonate with our customers who appreciate Yamaha for its unique style and great convenience. We will continue to innovate and introduce such convenient features to deliver an enriching experience to our customers.”
