Hardeep Singh Puri retains petroleum ministry, Khattar to serve as power minister

Hardeep Singh Puri has been appointed as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, bringing his experience to the critical energy sector in the third term of the Narendra Modi government.
New Delhi: A day after taking oath of office for a historic third consecutive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 10 assigned portfolios for the Modi 3.0 government with several key ministers retaining their portfolios.

Amit Shah continues to serve as the Minister of home affairs, while Rajnath Singh remains the Minister of defence. Nitin Gadkari retains his position as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

Hardeep Singh Puri has been appointed as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, bringing his experience to the critical energy sector in the third term of the Narendra Modi government.

Mohan Lal Khattar, who took oath as the cabinet minister on June 9, has been appointed as the Union minister of power in the newly-formed Union Cabinet of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, an official statement said on Monday. Khattar will replace R K Singh who lost elections from Arrah in Bihar.

Shripad Yesso Naik, who won the Lok Sabha election from North Goa, has been appointed as the Minister of State for Ministries of Power and New & Renewable Energy.

The allocation of portfolios in Modi 3.0 government reflects a mix of continuity and change, with key ministers retaining their positions and new faces bringing fresh perspectives to the Union Cabinet.
