In a bid to spark curiosity and nurture an appreciation for the automotive sector among young learners, the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) has joined forces with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to introduce the National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2024. This collaborative effort aims to immerse school students into the dynamic realm of automobiles, shedding light on industry advancements and career pathways.

The NAO 2024 is tailored for students from classes 6 to 12 across all educational boards, aiming to ignite interest and deepen understanding about India's flourishing automotive landscape. With registrations already exceeding 850 schools, the Olympiad is poised to become a hallmark event, welcoming students of all ages. It will be conducted in both English and Hindi, ensuring broad accessibility and inclusivity.

FR Singhvi, President of ASDC, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The National Automobile Olympiad is more than a competition; it's a gateway for children to grasp the dynamism and technological evolution of the mobility sector." He highlighted the diversity of skills required in the mobility sector, affirming that students from any field can thrive in it.

Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Skill Education) at CBSE, lauded the collaboration, emphasizing its significance in integrating industry-relevant skills into the educational framework. He anticipates the Olympiad will offer students a comprehensive insight into automotive opportunities and innovations.

Mr. Vinkesh Gulati, Vice President of ASDC, echoed the sentiment, stating, "We want to inspire students to consider the automotive sector as a primary field." He stressed the importance of Mr. Saha's support and expressed hope for the Olympiad's positive impact on future career prospects.

Registration for the NAO 2024 remains open until July 31, 2024, inviting young enthusiasts to explore the mechanics and innovations driving the automotive world. Participants will engage with experts, delve into automotive careers, and develop essential skills relevant to the industry.

Structured to provide comprehensive exposure to various facets of the automobile industry, the Olympiad reinforces ASDC's commitment to enhancing skill development at a grassroots level. Initiatives like the NAO 2024 are crucial in preparing the next generation of professionals to tackle future challenges in the evolving automotive landscape.

This collaboration underscores a shared vision of empowering India's youth through education that bridges school learning and industry expertise, marking a significant stride towards a skilled and knowledgeable workforce in the automotive sector.
