Mercedes-Benz India introduces 2024 C-Class and 2024 GLC; price starts at INR 61.85 lakh

New Delhi:Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India Monday introduced two of its highest-selling products in India - the GLC and the C-Class; with new powertrain and key feature enhancements.

Mercedes- Benz 2024 C 220 d

The price for the new 2024 GLC 300 4MATIC is INR 75.90 lakh and INR 76.90 lakh for the GLC 220d 4MATIC (all-India ex-showroom).

The price for the 2024 C 200 is INR 61.85 lakh, 2024 C 220 d is INR 62.85 lakhs and New C 300 is INR 69 lakhs (all prices India ex-showroom), the company said.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class

In their most advanced avatars, the Mercedes-Benz GLC and C-Class feature a host of premium upgrades in the realm of comfort, convenience, technology and safety. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz C- Class is now offered in a C 200 petrol, C 220d diesel and a topline C 300 AMG Line petrol version, the company said.

These significant feature enhancements reinforce the C-Class positioning as the ‘Baby-S’, offering a perfect blend of luxury, comfort and dynamic driving performance.

The New C 300 now replaces the C 300d: The topline C 300 features the sporty AMG Line exterior and Interior styling with ‘Night Package’, Burmester 3D surround sound, digital lights, keyless –go comfort package,

Augmented reality navigation and Blind spot assist distinguishing it from the new C 200 and C 220d. Mercedes- Benz C 300 will come with new exciting colours: Sodalite Blue and Manufaktur Patagonia Red, the company said in a media release.

The interiors have been updated with the centre console, featuring a metal structure trim and Fast charging USB charging ports.

The M254 petrol engine in the C 300 generates tremendous pulling power even at low engine speeds. It is fuel- efficient, low in emissions and has pleasantly smooth-running characteristics. It comes with integrated starter- alternator (ISG) that can support the internal combustion engine with up to 17 kW of additional output and up to 205 Nm of extra torque. Unique to the C 300 engine is the overboost function.

The C 300 engine provides 20 kW (27 hp) of additional overboost output for approx. 30 seconds in the 190 kW power stage. The overboost function can also be activated several times in succession – until the defined temperature limits are reached.

The C 200 and C 220d also get significant updates, and now feature climatized front seats, 360-degree camera, fast-charging USB-C ports, digital key handover and adaptive high beam assist thus enhancing the comfort, safety and tech in the car. We have also added a new color Sodalite Blue to the palette as a replacement to Cavansite Blue.

The new 2024 GLC comfort is further enhanced by addition of climatized front seats and safety by sidebags in rear taking the count of airbags in the GLC to 9.

In the transition to 2024, the New GLC emerges with advanced comfort enhancements and upgraded safety features, solidifying its position as the best-selling midsize luxury SUV. This latest iteration strengthens Mercedes-Benz India's already impressive SUV lineup, setting a formidable benchmark for luxury and performance. With these upgrades, the New GLC will continue its success story in the Indian market, offering a combination of luxury and practicality in one package, the release added.
