Volvo Group member SDLG opens facility to produce wheel loaders in Bengaluru

New Delhi:SDLG, a member of the Volvo Group, that supplies sustainable solutions to construction, earthmoving, infrastructure and mining projects, Wednesday inaugurated its manufacturing facility for wheel loaders, in Peenya, near Bengaluru.

The move is part of SDLG’s endeavor to increase localized manufacturing capabilities, introduce innovative new products, and to expand the customer base across the country.

Equipped with advanced technology, this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility boasts of a comprehensive manufacturing setup for five products and has the capacity to produce 1,000 machines annually per shift.

Present in India since 2009, SDLG has contributed to the Indian construction equipment market with its lineup of wheel loaders, motor graders, and excavators applied in ports, roadways, mining, steel, and cement industries, the company said in a media release.
