New York influencer Eva Evans who wrote, created and starred in the Amazon Prime Video comedy series “Club Rat” died aged 21. The news of her death was shared by her sister Lila on Sunday (local time).

“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died. After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be,” Lila wrote alongside a photo of her sister in an Instagram post.
“I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t. I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her,” she further added.
She also said that the family will be holding a celebration in her memorial on Tuesday evening in lower Manhattan. The family did not reveal the cause of Eva’s death.
Eva is survived by her sisters Lila, Zoe and Sofi and her mother. Her father, artist Matt Baumgardner, died at age 63 in 2018.
In addition to Lila and their mom, the late filmmaker is survived by sisters Zoe and Sofi. Eva was preceded in death by the siblings’ father, artist Matt Baumgardner, who died at age 63 in 2018.
Eva’s five-episode series “Club Rat” where she plays an influencer who tries her hand at dating again in New York City following the video of her breakup going viral was a huge hit. It was released by Amazon Prime Video in 2023.
She also chronicled her real life on her social media channels and did undergo an actual breakup early March this year which ended an almost two-years long relationship.
