Covid-19 Vaccines Linked To Surge In Excess Deaths Since Pandemic: Peer-Reviewed Journal

A recent study by a peer-reviewed journal has suggested that Covid-19 vaccines could be linked to a surge in “unprecedented” excess deaths across the United States and other Western nations since the pandemic’s onset.

Scientists looking at the mortality data from 47 Western countries, revealed that despite the extensive rollout of covid vaccines and various containment measures, excess mortality has persisted at alarming levels since 2020, the New York Post reported. The researchers stressed the need for thorough investigations into the underlying causes of this sustained surge in excess deaths.

Their findings, published in the peer-reviewed journal BMJ Public Health, underlined the complexity of the situation. The study highlighted the dichotomy between the intended protection against Covid-19 and the documented adverse events associated with the vaccines. “In the aftermath of the pandemic, the same moral should apply,” the researchers asserted, referencing the ethical imperative to safeguard lives through both containment measures and vaccination efforts.

According to the study, more than 3 million excess deaths have been recorded across the US, Europe, and Australia since 2020. Despite a peak of over 1 million excess deaths in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, the numbers have remained distressingly high in subsequent years, with 1.2 million in 2021 and 800,000 in 2022. These figures include fatalities directly attributable to the virus as well as those resulting indirectly from health strategies employed to curb its spread and impact.

The researchers also highlighted the documentation of serious adverse effects of the vaccines, such as ischemic strokes, acute coronary syndromes, and brain hemorrhages. “This commonality hinders clinical suspicion and consequently its detection as adverse vaccine reactions,” the study cautioned, underlining the challenge of identifying and addressing potential risks associated with vaccination efforts.
