Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘Warmly Congratulated’ PM Modi On NDA Majority

The Kremlin on Wednesday said that Russian President Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on election results.

“Putin ‘warmly congratulated’ India’s Modi on election results,” news agency AFP said, citing Kremlin sources.

“The Russian President warmly congratulated Narendra Modi on the success of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the recently concluded general parliamentary elections,” the Kremlin said, according to AFP. Both leaders spoke over a telephone call.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for the telephone call and said he will work to further strengthen India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.
