Apple released the iOS 17.5 update recently and some people have faced a bizarre issue which has resulted in their old photos resurfacing on their iPhone gallery. The supposed iOS 17.5 bug seems to have triggered a major problem for many iPhone users, who shared the details about this sighting via Reddit this week.
Things get even weirder because some of these users claim they are seeing old photos that were deleted many years ago. One of the Reddit users says that he saw some of his old NSFW photos back in the library which was shocking to him since he had deleted them back in 2021. They also noticed that the iCloud details of these photos were showing them as if these were uploaded to the cloud recently.
Now, nobody knows what the issue really is but it is quite a sight to see the old photos reappear which were intentionally deleted by these iPhone users for one or the other reason. It is being said that the iCloud indexing could be hit with a bug that has completely changed the dynamics of which content is new and which is old. Even then, how is the iCloud showing people photos that were deleted years back?
Only Apple can help us understand the issue, but it is more likely that the company will quickly issue a fix for the supposed bug so that people don’t get further embarrassed looking at their old self which they had deleted from their accounts.
This isn’t the first weird instance that iPhone users have faced recently. In fact, a few weeks back, some users claimed that their iPhone alarm didn’t go off and they got late for work. It was pointed out that the Clock app might be the culprit here but we haven’t heard anything new on this development after its first set of complaints from the users.
