The latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown opened with the Queen of the Ring – Nia Jax– celebrating her historic triumph in Saudi Arabia. Jax has been the top-ranked in the show for quite some time now.

When she was addressing the crown, Bayley entered the ring and expressed her desire to book a match against the Queen of the Ring at the upcoming SummerSlam.

That’s when Piper Niven and Chelsea Green appeared at the ringside and attacked Bayley. Niven thrashed her into the ring before Green announced that Jax wouldn’t clash against Bayley.

Jax ignored everything and said she wouldn’t mind facing anyone at the Premium Live Event.

Following the opening segment, four bouts followed during the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.

AJ Styles made an entry into the arena to tease his retirement later on. He shed light on his family commitments, saying that he would now focus on becoming a “Phenomenal Dad”.

His former Bullet Club members Gallows and Anderson joined him in the ring. Styles called out his long-time rival Cody Rhodes. The duo embraced each other before Styles and his ex-partners launched an attack on the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Let’s take a look at the results of matches that transpired on May 31’s Friday Night SmackDown–

Tommaso Ciampa vs Austin Theory

Ciampa and Theory traded some strikes before Grayson Waller intervened. It caused a distraction to Theory. Ciampa read the situation well and rolled up Theory to secure a comfortable win.

Andrade vs Apollo Crews

Andrade started off on a promising note and almost got a near fall with a dropkick. Crews didn’t take much time to recover and attacked Andrade with a moonsault. Andrade countered with a crossbody off the apron but ended up receiving another moonsalt. Crews attempted his feint spinning back elbow. Andrade was ready for it and dished out his finisher to win the clash.

The Street Profits vs The Bloodline

Ford digested some brutal strikes before tagging in Dawkins. Loa suddenly got a blind tag and launched a surprise attack on Dawkins. Loa and Ford then traded some strikes. Dawkins came in and joined Ford to bring out the Doomsday Blockbuster. Tonga ultimately got the job done for the Bloodline with the Complete Shot on Ford.

Naomi and Bayley vs Piper Niven and Chelsea Green

Niven and Green were charged up following the heated opening segment. Naomi had almost pinned Niven but failed. Green then worked over Naomi but Green came to the rescue and attempted her finisher. Naomi could reverse the attack into the Rear View. Niven assisted Green in taking down Naomi and securing a win via pinfall.
