Janhvi Kapoor Scores A Six With Her Cricket-Themed Saree For Mr and Mrs Mahi Promotions

Janhvi Kapoor is making waves with her fashion choices for the promotions of her upcoming romantic sports drama Mr and Mrs Mahi. For the promotions, she has embraced the “method dressing” trend, where one dresses as per the theme of the movie and character. For this film, which features her as a talented but novice cricketer, Janhvi Kapoor has seamlessly blended cricket elements into her outfits.

From dresses inspired by cricket jerseys to handbags shaped like cricket balls, she has left no detail overlooked. Her latest look features a stunning Torani ensemble, a cricket-themed saree with white and red stripes, adorned with a border woven with the design of season balls.

Complementing the saree, Janhvi Kapoor chose a narrow-strap halter neck red leather blouse with white embroidery, reminiscent of the design on a cricket ball. The look’s standout feature was the mini red leather cricket ball-shaped bag.

Her choice of accessories added the right amount of sparkle to her ensemble. Janhvi ditched heavy accessories and accentuated the look with a set of ruby and diamond earrings and some rings. She styled her hair in soft curls.

For makeup, Janhvi Kapoor opted for a dewy base with blushed and highlighted cheeks, subtle red eyeshadow, smudged black eyeliner, and oodles of mascara. She went for a brownish-nude lip colour.

Before this, she turned up the glamour quotient in a lovely blue sequin saree from the shelves of Manish Malhotra’s eponymous label. Janhvi Kapoor’s matching backless halter-neck collar blouse and cricket trophy embossed blouse buttons elevated the look. To balance the ensemble, Janhvi wore minimal gold accessories, such as heart-shaped earrings and a few statement rings.

Coming to her makeup, she opted for minimalistic, dewy makeup with rosy cheeks, glossy lips, winged eyeliner, and wispy lashes. Janhvi’s hair was styled in a sleek, high ponytail, allowing the trophy-printed button blouse to be the star of her outfit.

Another outfit that stole hearts was a sheer white saree embellished with intricate floral motifs throughout. Crafted from the finest net fabric, the subtle Chikankari design and border hem added an extra touch of elegance to the drape.
