Aditi Rao Hydari’s red carpet moment at the 77th Cannes Film Festival felt like a love letter to classic couture. The stunning Heeramandi actor graced the iconic red stairs in a custom strapless black and white gown designed by ace couturier Gaurav Gupta.

Aditi, who is part of the L’oreal Paris family, was accompanied by actors Aja Naomi King and Katherine Langford on the L’ Amour Ouf (Beating Hearts) red carpet at the film festival.

The gown, which features a black, velvet dress enhanced with voluminous side drapes in ivory, is from Gaurav Gupta’s Spring 2024 collection, Aarohanam which he showcased recently at Paris Couture Week. The gown complements Aditi’s svelte figure and the white drapes add volume and a hint of drama to her overall look. The silhouette also beautifully captures the metamorphosis from darkness to light.

Aditi Rao Hydari classic look was styled by Sanam Ratansi. Accentuating her gorgeous face was the minimal makeup done by Elton Fernandez. Her hair was styled by Elton in a messy, wavy updo, complementing the flawless makeup. Aditi looked regal on the red carpet. Aditi adorned the black and white couture gown with statement pearl earrings with gold detailing and paired it with matching rings.

Known for his sculpted designs, this Gaurav Gupta gown looks different from any angle it is shot in. While the original silhouette had the side opulent drapes in a fiery red shade, Aditi’s opted to keep it simple and chic, just like her charming personality. Giving the illusion of a cloud, the marshmallowy puffy drapes added a hint of mystery to Aditi’s angelic look.

In an enchanting moment on the red carpet, Aditi, the epitome of grace and glamour, looked at ease as she posed for the shutterbugs. While this couture gown was her second look after her arrival in Cannes, we can’t wait to see what more she has up her sleeve this year.

The red carpet of L’ Amour Ouf (Beating Hearts) was attended by an array of celebrities, including Bella Hadid, Greta Gerwig, Lily Gladstone, to name a few. The ongoing 77th Cannes Film Festival will culminate on May 25, 2024.
