Australian actress Cate Blanchett exuded glamour at the 77th Cannes Film Festival with her impeccable fashion sense. Making her second appearance at the event, she looked stunning in an off-shoulder black-and-white satin gown by Haider Ackermann. The gown features a thigh-high slit and pearl detailing, captivating all at the red-carpet premiere of her latest film, The Apprentice. What particularly grabs attention is the subtle yet powerful addition of green colour in the inner layer of the skirt.

Styled by LA-based red carpet stylist Elizabeth Stewart, the Academy award-winning actress topped off her look with an incredible Louis Vuitton necklace made from repurposed pearls and diamonds by Francesca Amfitheatrof. This show-stopping outfit showed the actress’ elegance and sophistication. The side-parted hair gave her a sleek and polished look.

Coming to her makeup, Cate opted for a minimal look allowing her outfit and the green shade of colour to be the highlight of the event. Sharing a series of pictures flaunting her jaw-dropping look, Cate Blanchett captioned, “On the red carpet, Dressed by Elizabeth Stewart in H.A with the Palestinian colours.”

Prior to this, the 55-year-old Oscar winner made a dazzling debut in a shimmering gold dress during the red-carpet premiere of her new movie Rumours on May 18, held at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Styled by Elizabeth Stewart, the beauty matched her outfit with gold earrings and statement rings. The Australian actress kept her makeup minimal, with impeccably shaped darkened eyebrows and a finely contoured nose. Her pink lips were the highlight. She wore pointed stilettoes and tied her hair into a sleek bun.

Cate essayed the role of a German chancellor in the movie. It centres around the mishaps that unfold at the annual G7 summit. The seven leaders of the world’s wealthiest liberal democracies get lost in the woods while trying to draft their provisional statement at night, as per the official Cannes Film Festival website.
