The Queen of Cannes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced the 77th Cannes Film Festival looking like red carpet royalty. In spite of being injured, the gorgeous global icon, Aishwarya, elegantly glided on the red carpet like a true diva.

Known for committing to her promises and delivering with efficiency, Aishwarya and her million dollar smile won hearts on the Megalopolis red carpet.

Looking ethereal in custom Falguni Shane Peacock couture, Aishwarya had a golden moment on the red carpet. Designers Falguni Shane Peacock have meticulously crafted a black and white corseted gown, fashioned from taffeta and adorned with exquisite hand-beaten, molten gold flowers and plates.

“In selecting gold as a prominent element, we aimed to capture the essence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for she epitomises a certain kind of timelessness comparable to the precious metal. Her life’s journey has been akin to striking gold, excelling in every facet and setting a gold standard in both—cinema and philanthropy,” express the designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock.

Gold, a colour deeply rooted in India’s cultural heritage, resonates profoundly when draped on a global icon such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, especially during her representation of India at Cannes. Furthermore, the gown features handcrafted flowers, a nod to Aishwarya’s liking for floral motifs, while the metal plates add a touch of unparalleled glamour to the ensemble.

The inclusion of black in the ensemble pays homage to her iconic style, which is classic and eternal, much like Aishwarya herself. The two colours—black and gold—also serve as the foundational colours of the brand’s palette, showcasing a blend of edginess and glamour. The metallic shine—a recurring motif in Falguni Shane Peacock designs, represents the brands commitment and consistency of offering avant-garde yet opulent aesthetics.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ardent style has always been a head turner on the red carpet and this impeccable silhouette has complemented the global icon to the T. As a brand, Falguni Shane Peacock always weave a creative narrative to their designs and tell a beautiful story with every couture piece they create.

As masterminds behind the creative piece, the fashion designer duo were also spotted on the red carpet along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, looking as stylish as ever. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also styled by celebrity fashion stylist Akshay Tyagi, who was seen helping the actor with her opulent train ahead of her red carpet moment.

This year too, Aaradhya joined Aishwarya on this trip. Both of them were welcomed at the French Riviera when they reached the hotel on Wednesday.

We look forward to Aishwarya’s next fashion statement at Cannes 2024.
