Sarah Jessica Parker, renowned for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, once again stole the limelight at this year’s Met Gala. Her choice of attire harmonized flawlessly with the theme of the evening, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. Sarah walked the green carpet in Richard Quinn’s sparkling midi dress, adorned with Swarovski crystals.

The dress, inspired by a birdcage, boasted delicate white lace appliqué beneath the crystal embellishments. It depicted the intricate motifs of leaves and flowers that perfectly aligned with the theme of this year’s Met Gala. However, a Sarah Jessica Parker look wouldn’t be complete without an attention-grabbing headpiece. In her signature style, she chose a beige-coloured oversized hat by Philip Treacy.

Complementing this statement piece, she adorned herself with bold crystal stud earrings from Briony Raymond. Her fingers shimmered with diamond Alexandra rings from Marlo Laz, and a long pearl necklace from Beads of Paradise NYC added a classic touch of glamour. Adding further allure, she carried a lantern-shaped crystal-embellished bag from Benedetta Bruzziches. Finally, her nude pointed boots, adorned with crystal embellishments matching those on her dress, added the perfect finishing touch.

Makeup artist Elaine Offers Woulard worked her magic, bestowing Sarah with a flushed look using a luminous primer, warm foundation, and radiant concealer. She accentuated Sarah’s eyes with a shimmering champagne eyeshadow and added a hint of blush for a natural glow. Completing the look, Elaine opted for a nude lipstick. Meanwhile, hairstylist Serge Normant styled her hair in a voluminous half-up ponytail with flowing beach waves that cascaded effortlessly over her shoulder.

In her conversation with Vogue about her outfit, Sarah shared, “His most recent collection coincidentally had pieces that, in many ways, communicated or inferred the Met theme as we understood it. I had gone to the Sargent and Fashion exhibit at the Tate Britain and been inspired by a few works of art I saw there, but it was his collection that seemed to instinctively interpret the theme.”

Sarah’s past Met Gala looks have been truly remarkable. From her debut in a thrifted black velvet dress in 1995 to her stunning pink, gold and black Giles Deacon dress in 2013, she has consistently captivated her fans with her dedication to embracing the theme of each year.
