One reel at a time, Karishma Gangwal, better known online as RJ Karishma, has been taking the internet by storm. Karishma is a ray of warmth and humour who proudly embodies her Kashmiri roots. Karishma, who was reared in Jammu, has a vast fan base consisting of 7 million Instagram followers, an average of over 10 million views, and occasionally, an astounding 50 million views on a single video! This makes her the only female digital star in India with such a large following!

Beyond only a change in location, Karishma’s journey from the Jammu valleys to the centre of Indore and finally Mumbai, is evidence of her adaptability and fortitude. She has worked with well-known figures in a variety of entertainment-related fields during her influential career, including Steve Smith, Vidya Balan, Shefali Shah, Varun Dhawan, Sachin Tendulkar, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, and Shreya Ghoshal.

She is currently prepared to walk the red carpet at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in support of India and the Indian film industry.

Karishma Gangwal has made a name for herself in the rapidly changing entertainment sector, having started her career telling stories on the radio and now producing clean comedic content online. Another significant accomplishment for Karishma is that she is one of the very few Indian artists and content providers present at a major international event like Cannes.

Born and raised in Jammu by her humble Kashmiri family, she has always been inspired by watching legendary actresses like Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Aishwarya Rai walk the prestigious red carpet for years now. Given her debut, she is being styled by ace celebrity stylist Ayesha Nigam in graceful custom pieces from globally recognised Indian origin designers.

Sharing her excitement, Karishma Gangwal aka RJ Karishma- Artist, said, “Stepping into the world of entertainment as an artist where I’m able to represent India at such prestigious events, feels surreal. I’m looking forward to exploring international movies and also supporting Indian cinema at the Cannes Film Festival.”

The global event will take place in the second week of May in Cannes, France.
