Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar premiere was a starry affair with the filmmaker’s industry friends gracing the red carpet to celebrate Bhansali and his work.

Alia Bhatt, who has been one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s muses, came to support the filmmaker at the premiere of his drama series. Alia Bhatt walked in along with her mother, Soni Razdan and mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor.

Looking ethereal in a sharara set designed by fashion designer Seema Gujral, Alia Bhatt’s pastel ensemble featured intricate thread work enhanced with pearl and crystal embroidery.

The cut work embroidered at the hem of the sharara top and graded pearl details on the shoulder straps added a hint of drama to her overall chic look. The voluminous sharara pants also featured intricate cutwork embroidery on the hem elevating the muted colour tone of the pants.

Alia aced the Desi look with an embroidered scalloped dupatta featuring pearl drops on all sides. The ensemble is from Seema Gujral’s Fiori festive collection which is a modern take on the traditional sharara set.  A classic sharara is essentially a lower worn with a kurta or choli, a traditional Indian pant with an impressive flare, that adds a captivating look to an ensemble. The idea with this particular edit was to make a versatile, all-season range of Shararas that takes a classic Sharara silhouette and elevates it into a modern, trendy look. The cut and style have been experimented with in such a way that a traditional outfit transforms into something entirely contemporary without losing any of its charm.

What we love about this look is that Alia kept it minimal and let the embroidery and silhouette shine. The soft waves in her hair and minimal dangling earrings added panache to her overall stylish look. A perfect summer outfit for the upcoming wedding season, this look is perfect for those either mehendi or sangeet function.

Along with the star cast featuring Manish Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari among others, we also spotted Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Mrunal Thakur, Salman Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Rashmika Mandanna, Radhika Madan, Atlee, Urvashi Rautela, Rekha, Wamiqa Gabbi, Karan Johar, Palak Tiwari among others.
