  1. Set boundaries –Healing from a breakup takes time and creating distance from your ex is key to rebuilding yourself. Setting boundaries allows both sides to move on at their own pace.
  2. Healthy Habits –Feeling good physically can help you feel better emotionally. Prioritize wellbeing by eating healthy, exercising regularly and getting enough sleep.
  3. Self Care –During the emotional and disturbed phase, make sure you’re getting enough rest, eating healthy and engaging in activities that bring you joy, or make you feel relaxed.
  4. Ask For Support –Lean on your loved and trusted people, who can listen and offer a shoulder to cry. In extreme cases, talk to a therapist for professional guidance.
  5. Distract Yourself –Use your energy towards things that excite you. Adopt a hobby, take a new challenge at work or explore something you’ve always wanted to try. Distracting yourself can help you move forward.
  6. Grieve –It’s normal for the person going through heartache to feel sadness, anger or mixed feelings during this phase. Accepting your emotions is an important part of the healing process.
