Rohit Roy Shares He Lost 16 Kgs In 45 Days With Keto Diet, Details Inside

An actor’s life is not easy. From demanding working hours to the continual expectation to look a specific way, they strive hard to resonate with the audience. Actor Rohit Roy has always been open about his fitness journey. Recently, in an episode of his podcast Unstoppable, he shared about following an extreme diet. In a conversation with Bhagyashree on his podcast, the actor admitted to following the Ketogenic or Keto diet. He claimed, “I lost 16 kilos in 45 days with Keto diet. But I didn’t take much time to gain it back.”

Rohit Roy further shared about how he suffered a ligament tear during Khatron Ke Khiladi last year. He stated that he was mentally down at that point because he could not do anything for 4 months and he used to limp on one leg. This led to a disbalance in his spine. His zeal to get back on track kept him motivated. He slowly started working out at the gym with his upper body. Rohit Roy engaged in low-impact cardio and other exercises, and eventually, he healed. He stated that for the last few months, he has had no trouble walking.

In another interview last year, Rohit Roy reflected on his early days in the industry and shared how superstar Salman Khan inspired him to get into shape. Rohit stated that when he was around 46 years old and had gained some weight, Salman told him he looked like a “fat cow” and would not get any work. Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Rohit revealed that this was around the time when he was not getting any work and his frustration led to him gaining weight. But the actor recalled that Salman’s words motivated him to work upon himself. Rohit Roy shared, “Everything he shared with me that day led to my complete metamorphosis physically. I was 45-46, and I decided that before I hit 50, I wanted to be the sexiest 50-year-old and it happened. He said you either be like this, or you keep fighting.”

Rohit Roy has starred alongside Hrithik Roshan in the 2017 action-romance flick Kaabil. He also appeared in the 2021 film Mumbai Saga with John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and Samir Soni, among others. He was also seen in the film Forensic, which also stars Radhika Apte, Prachi Desai, and Vikrant Massey.
