Lexus India has reported a 10% increase in sales for the calendar year until September 2024 compared to the same period in the previous year, indicating sustained momentum and strong market acceptance. Additionally, Lexus witnessed an 8% sales growth in the second quarter compared to the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, driven primarily by the continued popularity of the 'Made in India' ES model, which accounted for 52% of total sales. The company also saw a 23% rise in demand for its SUV models throughout the year, including the RX and NX, reflecting evolving consumer preferences.

ES Model- Top contributor of Lexus sales

The ES model remains the top contributor to Lexus sales in India, signifying growing appreciation among Indian consumers for locally manufactured products. Lexus recently introduced the ES Luxury Plus Edition, further boosting the model's appeal. The second quarter's growth aligns with broader industry trends, with SUV sales increasing significantly, reaching a 23% year-on-year growth up to September 2024. The RX and NX models have been pivotal in catering to evolving consumer aspirations and lifestyles, while the newly launched LM has also performed well in the market.

Tanmay Bhattacharya, Executive Vice President of Lexus India, stated, "We are grateful for the trust our guests have in Lexus. Blend of luxury with customer convenience
Since its entry into the Indian market in 2017, Lexus has embraced the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi, ensuring its actions reflect deep respect and care for its customers. In a recent move to reinforce this commitment, Lexus India announced an 8-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty for all new models sold in India starting from June 1, 2024. This initiative is the first of its kind in the luxury car industry. Adding to the customer convenience, the company introduced a 5-year Roadside Assistance (RSA) program on February 1, 2024, enhancing guest peace of mind. Furthermore, to elevate its premium image, Lexus began offering high-quality factory body coating from August 2024, thus solidifying its place in the luxury automotive market.

By continually evolving its offerings and enhancing customer services, Lexus India remains committed to meeting the high expectations of its clientele. The positive sales trajectory and the new initiatives underscore Lexus’ dedication to luxury, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. The company's strategic expansions and customer-centric policies are significant drivers in maintaining its strong market position in the competitive luxury automobile sector in India.
